Stories from our patients

"My daughter had a cleft lip since her birth, when she growed up she felt different and this made her to feel less confident and nervous. However, she was very fortunate to be selected among those to whom the team of surgeons in Danghara Hospital provided free surgeries. Thanks to the doctors my daughter retained her normal face and we are very thankful for such a great support."

Tojidin Khairulloev, 43, Danghara

“I am very thankful to the team of surgeons of Danghara Hospital who performed surgery for my son. He was 1 year old when burned his left leg and as he was growing up we noticed that post-burn contractures between the fingers and scares had been increasing on his toe making it hard and painful to walk. Thanks God we heard doctor Kurbanov was performing free surgeries in Dangara hospital and we applied for the support. After the surgery my son’s leg has completely recovered and he can easily walk and move his fingers.”

Bedil Gafurov, 35,  Danghara

"I suffered from goitre and had difficulty breathing, increased perspiration, drowsiness, irritability and nervousness.  I used to take treatments but the goitre was increasing in size. Fortunately, I was selected to undergo a surgery in Danghara hospital. Now I feel healthy and do not have the problems as I had before. I am very thankfull to the team of surgeons for their kind support".

OUR TEAM

WE AIM

To change the lives of at least 1000 individuals by 31 December 2020

WE HAVE

  • A team of highly experienced plastic & reconstructive surgeons and nurse

  • Support of the modern and well-equipped Dangara Medical Hospital

  • Dedicated administration team, which runs the organizational matters of the fund on a volunteer basis

WE ACHIEVED

423 free reconstructive surgery operations delivered since the start of the project in early 2016. We can’t be more excited to speed up the pace…

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Over 32% of the population still lives below the poverty line in our country. Inborn and acquired deformities are common and significantly affect the individuals psychologically, socially, physically, and therefore, considerably limit their life and earning potential, making them societal outcasts for their entire life.  We believe the corrective surgery can radically change the life of the affected person, and we have mobilized a number of resources, most on volunteer basis, to enable providing these surgeries for free to the eligible patients.

We are a public charity organization helping to raise funds through various programs and initiatives to provide free reconstructive surgery operations for low income population in Tajikistan.
